HEADLINESWildcats Evaluation Dates and times are now posted on the Wildcats page.Wildcats 2011 Evaluations will start Wednesday, September 8, with Squirt (2000, 1999) and Pee Wee (1998, 1997) Divisions; Registration 5:30 at Trafalgar field - workouts start at 6 - 7:30 p. m. Bantam (1996, 1995) will register Friday, September 10 at 5:30 followed by a workout from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at Trafalgar field Squirt and Bantam will have a second outing on Saturday, September 11 from 10 a. m. - 12:30 p. m. at Trafalgar fields Pee Wee will have a second outing on Saturday, September 11 from 1 - 3:30 p. m. at Trafalgar fields These are open tryouts for any girls in the divisions (age groups) listed. You must attend the two sessions for each division. As a relative newcomer to softball, I'm still learning about the VWMSA and our program. It helps that most of the Executive plan to stay on. Those of you I have spoken to probably know I'm keen to build on the great foundation that the Association has built. I'm looking forward to working with the volunteers, coaches and parents to make the experience of the players as good as it can be, to promote fun, learning, and competitive success. A planning meeting of the Executive is set for the week of November 16, and so if you have any ideas for things the association can do, or things that you can help us do better, please let one of the members of the executive know. While space is limited, we can probably make room for any real keeners who want to attend. I look forward to your support in the upcoming season, and to meeting more of you. Will Gaherty |
